Metown Publishes Research on Hyper-Realistic Clothing Reconstruction Using 3D Neural Rendering
A joint research paper titled "ClothingTwin: Reconstructing Inner and Outer Layers of Clothing Using 3D Gaussian Splatting" by Moonkyung Jung (Yonsei University), Dohae Lee (CEO of Metown), and In-kwon Lee (Head of Metown Research Lab) has been published in the prestigious journal Computer Graphics Forum and will be presented at Pacific Graphics 2025 in Taipei, Taiwan.
The study introduces a pioneering approach to reconstructing both the inner and outer layers of clothing using advanced 3D neural rendering techniques, achieving hyper-realistic and highly accurate restoration. This is the first method to fully consider both sides of clothing, earning recognition for its novelty and excellence.
This breakthrough is expected to play a leading role in transforming the 3D e-commerce sector and strengthening Metown’s position in the global fashion-tech industry.
