Metown Signs MOU with Hongik University for Innovative 3D Photography Project
Hyper-realistic neural rendering AI startup Metown has signed an MOU with Hongik University's Graduate School of Film & Visual Communication to collaborate on an innovative AI-based 3D photography project.
As part of Hongik University's government-supported initiative, 'Near Real Time 4D NeRF-based VFX System Development and Talent Cultivation Project,' this collaboration aims to provide practical experience to students by transforming still photographs into 3D models using NeRF (Neural Radiance Fields) and 3DGS (3D Gaussian Splat) technologies.
Metown, known for its advanced NeRF and 3DGS-based high-quality 3D rendering technology, will support this project scheduled from September 24 to 26 at the Hongmun Hall Lobby of Hongik University. Both students and professors from the Graduate School of Film & Visual Communication will participate, allowing students to gain valuable experience in AI-driven 3D content creation essential for the future of the film and visual industries.
Jeon Sang-bin, CEO of Metown, expressed, 'We are delighted to collaborate with Hongik University on this pioneering project and look forward to expanding our technological applications across the visual industry in future partnerships.'
